How to order the Aadhaar PVC card

A free, step-by-step guide · Last checked: 26 Oct 2026

The Aadhaar PVC card is a durable, wallet-sized card with your Aadhaar details and security features such as a tamper-proof QR code. UIDAI says it is just as valid as the e-Aadhaar and the paper Aadhaar letter. It is not free: UIDAI charges ₹75, inclusive of GST and speed post charges, paid online. You need the mobile phone registered with Aadhaar, because you log in with an OTP.

Steps

  1. Check your details first. The card is printed with the details Aadhaar has now. If your name, address or anything else is wrong, update it first, and order the card only after the update has gone through.
  2. Open myAadhaar. Type myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in into your browser yourself and check that the address ends in uidai.gov.in. UIDAI is moving to a new design, so the site may take you to myaadhaarbeta.uidai.gov.in; that is still UIDAI.
  3. Choose Order Aadhaar PVC Card. On the home page, open Get Aadhaar and choose Order Aadhaar PVC Card.
  4. Say who it is for. Choose Myself or Someone Else (UIDAI lets a holder with a registered mobile number order for others too), then select Order Now.
  5. Log in with an OTP. The login page asks for the 12-digit Aadhaar number and a captcha, then sends an OTP to the mobile number registered with Aadhaar. Its address is on tathya.uidai.gov.in, still a UIDAI site. Type the OTP in yourself.
  6. Pay the fee. Follow the instructions on screen and pay ₹75. UIDAI lists credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI and wallets as payment options.
  7. Keep the receipt. After the payment you get a receipt with the SRN (Service Request Number, 14 digits) and the payment details. The SRN is also sent by SMS. Use Check Status on the same page to follow the order.

Delivery

Stay safe

  • Never share the OTP or your payment details with anyone, even someone who offers to order the card for you.
  • Order and pay only on the official site, ending in uidai.gov.in. Lookalike sites copy its look, so check the address.
  • The fee shown by UIDAI is ₹75. If a site asks for more, stop and check the official site.
